Jay Sarthy, M.D., Ph.D. is one of the presenters at the upcoming Long-Read Sequencing Symposium.
The deadline to submit abstracts for oral presentations at the upcoming BBI Long-Read Sequencing Symposium is rapidly approaching – 5 pm on September 27th.
The presentations are each 20 minutes; anyone planning to submit an abstract should include this information on the registration form by selecting "Yes" to the final question about an abstract. The registration deadline to attend is October 16th at 12 noon.
The BBI-hosted event is scheduled for October 28th, at the Seattle Children’s Research Institute from 1 to 5 pm, followed by a reception.
“The interest in long-read sequencing clearly is growing throughout the Seattle area,” said Danny Miller, MD., Ph.D., who leads BBI’s long-read sequencing program. “The goal of this symposium is to bring together Seattle-area users of long-read sequencing to learn from each other, build new collaborations, and to explore potential synergies among users.”
Confirmed speakers for the symposium are: Doctors Chia-Lin Wei of the Northwest Genomics Center; Evan Eichler of the UW, Department of Genome Sciences; Scott Furlan of Seattle Children’s Hospital; Jay Sarthy of Seattle Children’s Research Institute; Jesse Bengtsson of the Pacific Northwest Research Institute; and Mitchell Vollger, a post-doctoral fellow at the UW.
